The things I do for fashion, call me crazy but I prefer to look well put together and i’m ok with freezing sometimes. Oh the things I do for outfit shots, the looks I get from people passing always makes me laugh, I’ve even had people sit down to watch. Ackward at first but hey I don’t mind being entertainment For months I had wanted to take photos here but would get too lazy to drive into Mid-City. However these day’s I’m spending a lot more time in these areas since I work in the vicinity and can’t help but fall in love with it. I’m thinking it may be time to relocate. Downtown has a special place in my heart and as cheesy as it may sound. I can’t help but get butterflies in my stomach and a huge smile appears on my face when I get to walk the sidewalks in downtown and peer up at the tall shiny buildings. I still remember the first day I set foot in downtown and feeling so lost and a bit out of place, coming from such a small town it was a lot to take in. However, the challenge got my blood racing and anything that gets my blood racing is worth doing. It was then that I knew it was worth pursuing. It is the best decision I’ve ever made in my life and even though I was raised a small town girl, it’s clear that I was meant to live in the city.

This is my first pair of bold geometric pants; I instantly fell in love with them (like I do everything else in my closet.) The bold print accents are very Diane von Furstenberg which is why it caught my attention at Forever 21 if you can believe that. My Equipment silk button up was featured in “Deconstructivism”. I decided to pair this look with my black loafers from Target to give my outfit a casual yet classic look. I couldn’t leave my dainty rings out, I seriously collect them and the majority of them are from weekend visits at JDLUXE Fashion Truck.
